Executive Director:
Timothy T. Hartnett, MSW, MHA
Tim Hartnett has been devoted to working with hard-to-reach populations for more than 25 years, from the most recalcitrant juvenile delinquents to homeless persons suffering from severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders. He has worked as a school teacher, direct-service worker, program director, research partner, consultant, state policymaker, and agency executive. Prior to joining CODA in 2002, Tim was director of the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Recovery for the State of New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. Tim received his Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of Connecticut and his Master’s Degree in Health Administration from Suffolk University in Boston.
Deputy Executive Director:
Susan Pahl, MSSW, LCSW
Susan joined CODA in the fall of 2003, first accepting a position as Program Manager for CODA’s women’s residential treatment facility and later promotion to Director of Administrative Services. In November of 2008, she accepted her current position as Deputy Director. Prior to joining the management team at CODA, Susan was employed at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare as a Residential Administrator for a low-barrier transitional housing program. Susan received her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in administration and management and holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Social Work from the University of Iowa.
Director of Finance:
Pam Spears, MBA
After receiving her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of North Texas, Pamela Spears worked as an accountant in several real estate firms in Alaska and California. She served as Chief Accountant of Planned Parenthood of North Texas before coming to CODA where she serves as the Director of Finance. In 2007, she received her Masters of Business Administration from Marylhurst University.
Director of Human Resources:
Wendi Martin, PHR, GPHR
Wendi Martin is the Director of Human Resources. Wendi has extensive experience with developing human capital and creating performance focused work environments. She received her BS in Management and a Certificate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has since specialized in the challenges faced by organizations experiencing significant organizational change. Wendi has worked with Synetics Solutions, Girls Inc of NW Oregon, and as a Professional Consultant with HR Answers in Portland. She has 15 years of experience in performance improvement and human resources in small and midsized organizations, including technology, healthcare, and not-for-profit organizations.
Director of Administrative Services:
Lisa Nichols, BS, QMHA
Lisa Nichols joined CODA in 2007 as an Administrative Services Manager. In late 2008, she was promoted to Director of Administrative Services. Lisa brings to CODA extensive experience in administrative operations of mental health services. Lisa obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon and is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from Portland State University.
Director of Mental Health Services:
Marcus Kroloff, MA
Marcus Kroloff joined CODA in 2010 as the Director for Mental Health Services. After receiving his Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark College, he worked for Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare and FamilyCare, Inc. in a number of different leadership positions including Manager of the Access and Quality Departments as well as a Clinical Director.
Director of Quality Improvement:
Christi Hildebran, MSW, CADC II
Christi Hildebran joined CODA in 2008 as Director of Quality Improvement. Christi has worked in the field of substance abuse and mental health treatment for over 20 years as a clinician, clinical supervisor, quality assurance and development manager, treatment director, and health clinic administrator. Prior to joining CODA, Christi was employed with the State of Oregon Addictions and Mental Health Division as a Regional Coordinator. Christi received her Masters in Social Work from Portland State University and holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi.
