CODA is committed to advancing the field of alcohol and drug treatment. As such, CODA strives to integrate the best evidence-based practices in our treatment services. CODA participates in partnerships with research institutions such as Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Clinical Trials Network (CTN).

Our Research Department is currently involved in the following projects:

  1. Starting Treatment with Agonist Replacement Therapy (START) Follow-upwith the Clinical Trials Network.
  2. Massage impact on chronic pain in opioid dependent patientswith the Massage Therapy Foundation and East/West College of Massage Therapy.
  3. HIV Rapid Testing with the Multnomah County Health Department.

Current Enrollment for Research Participants:

The CODA Research Department is looking for clients who participated in a research study called START between 2006 and 2009. If you believe that you may have been a part of this study please call the research office at 503-341-6103 or stop by the research office on the 3rd floor for more information.

Possible risks and benefits of participation will be discussed with you in detail before you agree to participate.
